Naya is an innovative, grassroots initiative aimed at empowering women to improve their community environment in the Mumbai slum of Kalwa.

The women employed in the initiative are trained in recycling waste paper, creating beautiful new pieces using imagination and skill. Sales of these products will support the initiative, as well as develop facilities and awareness around waste and recycling within the slum.

 

By supporting Naya not only are you creating employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for local women, but you are also helping to tackle waste and environmental pollution in the slums, improving the lives of the entire community.
